My car Radio refuses to work the digital read says what channel its on but it refuses to play music.?

I got in a front end crash a few months ago and it stopped working. well for a while I would power it on and my speakers would make this horrible scream noise. help how do I fix this. its a 05 chevy cobalt.

Pull the radio out and check the wiring. You probably have a connection that broke free.
